Machine Compatibility

  • DST

Widely used commercial format, common on Tajima-compatible machines.

  • PES

Common on Brother and Baby Lock machines.

  • JEF

    Used by Janome machines.

  • EXP

Used by Melco and Bernina machines.

  • EMB

A Wilcom working file that keeps editable object data.

Renaming a file extension does not correct faulty digitizing. A poorly built file will still sew poorly in a new format.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can every file be edited?

Stitch-only formats like DST hold limited editing data. Working files such as EMB usually allow more extensive edits.
